age difference matters less and less the older you get. a 5 year difference might be a bigger deal when the younger one is in their early 20s compared to if they were in their early 30s or early 40s.
i'm 30 and my woman is 7 years older than me. it hasn't been a factor for us at all really. we understand each other and get along great. we think of each other as best friends in addition to the intense attraction we have.
ashton and demi have helped bring some attention to the idea of younger guys dating older women (and those two have alot bigger age difference than mine) but it's still much more common for the man to be several years older. i think it's kinda cool that we go against the norm. and it's funny to think that when she was old enough to get into bars, i wasn't even in high school yet. i was never really into older women before i met her. i love her for her and didn't really care what her age was.

It doesn't really matter that much to me. I've dated someone 30 years older and someone 6 1/2 years younger. If I were to do it differently I'd say no more than 10 years older and no more than 5 years younger. But that's just me.

I'm willing to go 10 years in either direction but I would prefer a younger partner so they can take care of me when I get older. Unfortunately I have no children to do that job.

Im 18/female and i prefer to date guys around my age range. But i wont go below 18. Maybe to 18-22. I wouldnt consider dating any male who is younger but maybe a couple of years older than me. No offense but i wouldnt date a guy past the age of 24....im also a single mother so i have to watch who i date...

To me it really depends 1) how older and 2) how mature
Maybe about 2 years older if they are mature and not all little boy games
but i wouldn't date a dude younger than me

If younger that would depend on how mature minded he is ,but it wouldn't be too much younger .Maybe 40 at the youngest.
As for older 52, 53
I'm 46 , mature minded but young at heart, fun and energetic ,especially at a Nascar race So I need a guy who can keep up with me .BTW..I don't smoke, drink or do drug's .

I like older men. I am 25 and prefer a man at least 4-5 years my senior...they are *uuuusually* much more stable and intelligent. Infact, I would probably date a guy who was in his mid to late 30's...if he was still attractive, interesting and young-at-heart IE: adventurous etc....
It would take an unusually mature and unique younger guy to get me to date him.

I'd never consider someone who was younger than I was. I'm 24 and obviously prefer dating someone who is older than me. I would only go 3 years older.

I'm a girl...I would only considering dating a guy within a 5 year span of me (older)...at most a year younger....I think it depends on how old you are...age gaps go away as you get older.
