It won't happen. First, they must believe in Christ and to do that means they aren't athiests.

Christlike - like practicing tolerance? Loving thy neighbor? Christ was said to have dined with prostitutes and others that are deemed undesirable. Many Christians don't seem to be very Christlike. Funny, but I think many atheists tend to be more Christlike.

We are not given "acting lessons" that make us more like Christ. The ONLY way a person can be Christlike is to have Christ living IN Him...that comes ONLY by believing in the death, burial and resurrection of Christ as sufficient to reconcile us to a HOLY God.
If you havent begun by approaching God according to HIS criteria, then you may "act" Christlike, but its just an act, and NOT a reality.
REAL Christians have the REALITY...."Christ IN them, the hope of glory".

Do nothing remarkable until we're 30 years old.
Curse fig trees.
Perform magic tricks (without revealing how we do it).
Speak in riddles.
Argue religion. (Hey, we're doing that here!)
Eschew marriage & hang out with 12 other guys. (I'm gay, so check that one off.)
Harbor delusions of grandeur.
Promote acceptance of those thought evil by the religious right (aka, Pharisees).
Squander early childhood wealth (brought by wise men).
Drink lots of wine.
Never travel further than a few miles from home.
Depend on others for sustenance.
Pretend we have royal blood in our veins.
Die at 33 (too late!)

I too wonder why anyone want to be someone they don't believe in and if they don't believe how are they going to emulate and live the way Jesus lived.

Well,... considering he's been dead for some 2000 years... I guess an atheist would have to die.

Why do we need to be more Christ-like?
Since when do we need to follow your deity of choice?
