You don't "claim" your wife on your tax return. You may file a joint return with her if you wish and will normally pay the least tax that way. She does not have to work or have any income at all for you to file a joint return.

You don't claim your wife, but you can file a joint return, and could even if she hadn't worked or received unemployment benefits during the entire year. Since you are married, you can file a joint return. You'll show both of your incomes, and both of your withholding amounts, on your return, and will get two exemptions, one for each of you, and a standard deduction twice the individual one of $5350 - for the two of you, your standard deduction will be $10,700.
