And why?

Nothing. Everything. God is all-present, all-powerful, all knowing. Everything that can be, is. Everything that can be known, God knows. Everywhere that anything can be, God is. There is nothing separate from God.

God doesn't "move". Things appear to move from limited perspectives within God.

All things already exist. They appear to be created and destroyed, but are, in fact, eternal from God's perspective. They only have limited existence from our perspective (and that of other limited perceptions short of God as a whole).

May be a bit much for the question, but it's the way it is.

We love our children. We love our friends, our parents, our siblings, and our pets. God loves us as we love those other beings. God is love. I guess God is in some way motivated by the same things that we are motivated by. That is, to give and receive love and have relationships of trust and friendship.

Doesn't God ask from us all of the things that we would list as qualities we would want in the the perfect friend?

Can someone motivate a perfect being? I think that God would be at the pinnacle of motivation and not need motivating in the least. I think that by prayer and showing love and kindness to others we open ourselves to receiving his love, but his love is already perfect love and always there.

God is motivated by love because He IS love. It's only by his infinite wisdom, power, love and justice that we even exist in the first place. God did send his son Jesus to redeem mankind so obviously he felt love for his creation. Otherwise he would not have provided an escape for us from this curse that Adam brought upon us.

Love motivated God in the Begining.

Faith will motivate Him today.

And I think that the question you should be asking is 'Does God motivate you?'

Since God is self-sufficient, He's not motivated by the kinds of desires we have.

However, He has this awesome nature and wonderful attributes. When we imitate those attributes it motivates Him positively, but when we behave contrary to those attributes it motivates Him negatively. For example, people are called to be holy because God is holy; people are called to be merciful because God is merciful; and people are called to be honest because God is the ultimate source of truth and honesty. Likewise, unholy, vindictive, and dishonest behavior motivates God in a punitive way.

God motivates herself! No one can motivate another, and looking at the human condition these days, if anything- it would depress her.

Love

he loves his creation. his love for his creation also requires laws to keep it functioning.

Morality is one form of laws, which when perverted messes the situation up and that is a violation against the creation that God loves.

If you ever love something, you will find that you can be very passionate about not letting that something or someone be ruined.
