how do you get your cat from breaking bad habits?

my cat has been using the litter box since she was a kitten. the litter box is the bathroom on top of the toilet becuz i was trying to potty train her over the summer.
now she goes bathroom in the corner of the wall to the left of the toilet and stopped using her litter pan

How do i stop this, becuz cleaning up the mess is tiring me and plus it smells bad

She probably doesn't want to have to jump UP to the litterbox without being able to see what it is in it. Put some sort of step beside the toilet so she can look into the cat box before entering.

You may have to start from scratch, and put the litterbox back in the corner until she starts using it again. Then try again in a few months with a way for her to look before she leaps in the litterbox.

You have to make a BIG effort to get rid of that smell. Until you do, it will be considered an alternative.

Also when you clean the catlitter, dont be a scrooge. Dont shake the scoop to try and keep as much litter as possible. That keeps the odor and makes that a "not clean" place.
