put the key in ,and insert a small paper clip in to the tiny hole and turn it back to accy position,then pull out on it,that's it then install the new one,put the paper clip in it also to install it then remove the clip and turn it ,and your done,good luck with it.

While these are both good ideas and to add to them, the ring around cylinder is threaded/removable. Lightly tapping the ring with a screw driver in a counter-clockwise motion will remove it. BE CAREFUL, I have slipped the screwdriver and gouged the crap out of my dash.

I hope you are not doing this because you have a starting problem. The key cylinder is not an ignition switch.The switch is located in the steering column and is operated by the key. Don't forget if you change the cylinder your new key will not unlock your doors.
