go and ask him something about class homework or project. then move your topic on to teacher then about school then about outside school life. do it slowly, don't say everything at a time. just say "i feel really boring in this class, i wish i could go and do something else( one of your favorite activities)".

Same situation here only from a guy. OK this is mine maybe you can be brave tomorrow like me. Theres this girl that rides my bus and is in my math class and shes awesome i think she likes me and i like her, both shy, but tomorrow im stepping up to the world and saying hey world i hate you and im gunna ask her out. you should do the same.well wish you luck on the war against the world =P

You have to step out of your comfort zone and flirt with him. The biggest rewards come from the biggest gambles in life.
If you are that interested then it is a gamble to show him how you feel, but you will feel better in the end, and it could lead to a fun relationship.

just make some small talk which can turn into a big conversation. Something like school or your surroundings or someone. or you can ask open ended questions... that dont end in yes or no. It can start a convo!

Turn to him (as best you can) and say something like "If I weren't so shy I'd ask you why you haven't asked me out yet".
You'll cut through that shyness real quick - he may blush a bit - but he'll respond!

Well if you need the aanswer to a question just ask him. . . if he doesnt know you introduce yourself. .. just try to talk to him . . i know its hard. . . but if you like him and have a slight hope or idea that it will work then go for it. . . it might just be the right thing. . thats how i got with my boyfriend and we're doing great.Just try.Good luck.
