I am beginning to get the feeling that appeasing the Middle East nations isn't working, what should we do?

They certainly didn't want democracy (they keep rebelling), and still hate the westerners ( sending malicious tapes periodically). What do we do if we tolerate a group, yet they keep on threatening us?

One of the biggest problems is not taking to task (reprimanding) the friendly middle east states. They have been nice to the west with a smile and friendly to deal with but behind their backs they deal with the terrorists and send them money and tolerate them travelling into their countries. They deny the terroists are there and say that they are not helping them.

The US is too kind to these countries and keeps supporting them. The west should smarten up and stop sending money over there as the arab states have lots to give to those in the area that need it. But do they help with money and peace talks??? NO!
Reason...they don't want to help. Instead the west helps and is derided as the mean enemy (hows that for thanks).

i wish more folks would "get that feeling". It is the radical islamics who want to convert the world to Islam and will stop at nothing to do it. They have been fighting for centuries and hate the Jews. Tolerance of muslim demands has led to big trouble in parts of Europe where there are large populations. They do not want to assimilate with the culture where they live- they expect us to do the changing. There is now a large population in Africa and parts of Asia. They hate our culture as it is in many ways becoming increasingly immoral- and I agree with that. The entertainment industry can be blamed for that- TV, porn, some rap and other music, vulgarity, emphais on sex, tolerance of violence and drugs, etc.
What you should do is stick to your values and refuse to be caught up in this trash. Vote for a Re[ublican for president because the Dems want to pull out and pretend it is not happening- tht will make it worse.

To be honest I believe the best thing to do is let them resolve their own problems first.
Lets face it they, as in the countries that make up the Middle East, struggle to except each other.
All the West has done is given them an enemy to unite against.
The best thing to do is let them squabble amongst themselves and they will forget about the West (for awhile anyway).
Then we only have to worry about the terrorists that are the main concern.

Considering that the United States is not even on the top ten list of freest nations on earth, how would you feel (assuming you are an American) if Singapore (#1 on the list) sent an army storm troopers to destroy our infrastructure, displace our population, and overthrow our existing government?

First we need to bring the troops home and begin tending our own affairs. There's plenty of time to worry about whether they threaten us after we've quit dropping incendiaries on them.
