It means you are emptied of self and filled with the supernatural, awe inspiring, revelation inducing power of God. You are equipped for the good work of serving Jesus, you have light. when you are filled with the spirit of God you are eligible to have gifts flow through you such as healing and words of knowledge/words of wisdom and prophetic utterances. In many cases you can speak in tongues (heavenly language).

Does it amaze you the nonbelievers and the answer they provide? It is easy to understand why Stephen has to forgive those stoning them, for they know not what to do.
Being filled with the Spirit is in the spiritual sense, but taken literal. God wants us to be COMPLETELY filled, not filled where we only want Him to be. By being filled, it allows the communion of the Holy Spirit to be daily.

That I not only have a piece of Heaven already in me but that I also have the mind of Christ. It comforts me and gives me spiritual understanding in everything I see in this world. It also enables me to understand scripture. (Pray for the others who answered rudely. Their pride has blinded them. Spread the Gospel but do not throw pearls to swine).

It means that you have an extreme emotional experience and you don't understand it so you say you were "Filled with the Holy Spirit" or some other religious tripe instead of trying to understand it better.

Being able to speak in other toungs, and knowing God's presence in a new light. Also, others things like prophesies, and healing others can also accompany this.

Oh lordy lordy I got the holy spirit in me. You know how people in a gospel church act like they crazy because the holy spirit is in them.. that's what it means to me acting like a fool. They over exaggerate.....Do it peacefully, that could not interrupt the neighbors.
