Milk is very very good for you. Drink as much as you can of skim milk from ages 0-25 to make your bones strong for when you're older. This way you won't be all hunched when you're a grandma. Also, milk actually slims you down. I forget exactly how, but it definitely does, it's almost as good as drinking water (2nd most healthy drink ever! water being first.) don't drink whole milk or 2%, because it might actually make you gain weight from the fat that is in it. Try to get used to 1% or especially skim milk which is better for you.

Milk is designed to increase a cow from about 70 pounds at birth to over 2,000 pounds in a few years. It's full of fat--49 percent of its calories are from fat--hormones, antibiotics, blood, and pus. The cows are given hormones to make them produce more milk than they would normally. Milk is for baby cows, not for humans. The high protein content in milk actually causes you to LOSE calcium!

Check out "Skinny *****" by Kim Barnouin and Rory Freidman. And try soy milk instead.

No food has the power to make you fat or thin, though it does have a direct bearing on your health. Eat nutritious food and balance your caloric intake with your activity level. Boiled down to its simplest form... eat more calories than you burn and your body stores the remaining calories as fat. Burn more than you eat and your body will tap your fat reserves for the needed energy.

Well, there's no clear cut answer to whether it makes you lose more weight, as that article shows. However, lower fat milk and milk products are good for you in general.

As long as it's fat free skim milk, it's great for you!
If it fits into your daily caloric needs, milk is a wonderful choice.

It's full of calcium, which is great for your bones!
