i asked this to see if any believers could give a rational reason to called ID a science,
but the few answers that didnt criticise me offered the general answer "its a science cause we say so" thats not an answer. that faith.
thanks all bye bye for now

hahahahahahahahaha
I always laugh that anyone thinks intelligent design is science. Maybe science fiction, but not science.

It is like this (in a nutshell) There is a helping friendly book that the people hold and show off but do not understand, the answers in the book are a cop out on real science, too many people make their money from the following of this book, and are willing to protect it from being proven false, millions are spent on a theory that attempts to disprove other theories, theories are just that...The Bible says that the Earth is the center of the universe and is held up by pillars...Science gives us a theory that the earth is round and actually only a small grain of sand in the actual universe....Both are theories, the difference is that science always claims that something is a theory until proven fact....Fundamentalist Christians claim that the Bible is fact until a more rational theory comes around...Then the Fundamentalists say God works in mysterious ways and meant that whole center of the universe thingy as a metaphor. Unfortunately people still believe the theories of the Bible even those that lack rational thinking.

If science advances under its own course w/o any real purity and just an endless possession of ever more assimilating masked forms of psychological complacency that lead people to adhere to a group philosophy rather than eke out one's own horizons, mankind will destroy itself.
Existentialism is the only thing that can prevent this. There is a very basic function to dimensionality. The 2-d process of calculating a prime number that progresses one dimensionally can carry into a 3- dimensional explanation for the existence of circumstance, wherein a 4-d concept of a soul as a personality can be explained leading into a 5-d explanation for the supersense of the different cycles of a verse/"universe" setup(s).
You can create infinite energy circuits out of copper and magnetic iron and some electricity. With the right sizes and the right frequencies, all of our science can stand for next to nothing. The textbook of an advanced culture's science reads more like an instruction manual for Diablo 2.
There are an endless amount of "special chosen groups" on this planet who all think there is only one way to live. They basically boil all of life down to whether or not you're cool or a dork or w/e they choose to call it.
People on this planet have no personality and any attempt to adopt a change in schools involving the favoring of a personality such as a class on wisdom-- that would instantly register in their war machines as insane.

Intelligent Design is where people consider some sort of greater being, that designed the Universe, and not a random succession of events creating us. Evolution is as much a science as intelligent design, just 2 different perspectives on the subject. Both use other scientific fields to prove their theory.

Intelligent design is at best a "pseudo-science". Backers of intelligent design only consider data that supports their hypothesis. Science must consider ALL valid data and not just that which supports a particular pre-determined conclusion as in the case of "intelligent design".
In actuality, there is ample evidence for "UNintelligent design", which either suggests that God was either stupid or life on Earth evolved haphazardly in response to environmental pressures. Take your pick.

Before I'd refer to it as a science, I'd like to see the scientific testing and research on intelligent design. Until then, it's pseudoscience.

Take a look at a book called: The Universe Is A Green Dragon by Brian Swimme. He's a physicist that, like many other physicists in the world, has been exploring how spirituality and science can co-exist in the world. I think you'll find it informative and refreshing! Also, look in to The Institute for Noetic Sciences....good luck!

Whoa! Slow down there Jack. ID is a failed hypothesis. It hasn't even come close to becoming a scientific theory. There isn't any evidence that supported ID and that is why it failed, amongst other reasons.
ID failed cursory examinations as did Creationism. In fact, the FSM passed more examinations than those did.

"Intelligent design" is a propaganda term designed to put creationism into public school science classes.
At least that's the stance the United States has taken on the topic. I stand with the U.S. on this, of course.

Creationism isn't technological information, and that's functional to appreciate why. it isn't the objective of technological information to describe how issues artwork, even with the undeniable fact that it does so very exact: its objective is to foretell how issues WILL artwork, so which you additionally could make machines that run and homes that don't cave in. that's provable that the predictive skill of any concept derives completely from its refutability, and it follows at as quickly as that an irrefutable concept can anticipate no longer something. The tenets of creationism are in theory irrefutable: you are able to not exhibit, via any potential, that god exchange into no longer in touch. subsequently, creationism can anticipate no longer something, and thanks to this it is not technological information.
