hi am, first of all just to correct you, it's called a Doberman. I have owned one for 16 years. Since they are such and expensive dog, I would put up paper made add's in your local stores and maybe a news paper add and sell her or him for what ever you can, If you still do not get results call your local akc club and ask for local humane society rescue group, there is always a person in your area who do this for a living, they take in animals that were found or badly beaten, fix them up and sell them. They would be more than happy to take the doby off your hands as they would hate to see him hurt or abused. They scan the families they send them to and you can be sure that your dog will go to a good home. Sorry to hear that you can't keep him, it will be hard on you but to make it more easier for your self and not feel horrible, I would really try and look up you local humane society rescue person, that way you will be sured that your dog will go to a good home and not to someones home who beats and abused these giant dogs. good luck and your already doing the right thing. :0)

What the heck is a Doverman ??

You should contact Doverman Rescue in your area.. OR the better idea would be to return her to the Doverman breeder you got her from.. MOST reputible breeders want their dogs back if you cannot keep them, that way they can find appropriate homes for the Dovermans..

Try the Doberman rescues, or try going to a local rescue league. The leagues often have people you can contact through the Petco or Petsmart stores. The stores don't do any rescue of their own, but rescue leagues often go there on weekends and show the animals they have for adoption. This is a good time to go and talk to the people, since they are really hard to get ahold of, any other way. Maybe they would consider taking the dog to a foster home and try to find a home for her, or maybe they would let you bring her on weekends, to try to find a good home for her. Also, try crate-training your dog. This would mean that the puppy stays in the cage part of the time, but has lots of time to exercise. A cage is not a home for a dog, but is a great way to house-break the dog, and a good way to keep it from chewing on things while you are not home. A dog should never stay in a cage for extended periods, as this could cause behavioral problems.

What state do you live in. First, learn how to spell, or is this a different breed.? There should be a rescue group near you. Check with your vet. He may know a family. They are family dogs and do need attention and exercise. Get your Dovie out to a park or take a loooong walk with her. Never take a dog you cannot be responsible for.

Try to call your local vet, they will have numbers of local shelters and information on no kills. Also try to post an add for her in the paper, or around town where they will allow it. Good luck. You are doing the right thing, it shows how much you care by allowing her to have a home where they can focus more time on her.
