Hi. I 'm belong to the Buddhist community that promotes peace through individual happiness, based on the philosophy and practice of Nichiren Buddhism. Our basic daily practice is reciting the Lotus Sutra and chanting Nam-myoho- renge-kyo. Chanting Nam-myoho- renge-kyo brings out our unlimited potential --courage, wisdom, strength, and compassion---from within our lives. The deeper our problems and suffering, the more intimidated we are likely to feel. But , through bring out our highest life condition, it will definitely make positive changes in our thoughts and words and our attitude and actions. Then, it influences our environment and people around us too. In Nichiren Buddhism, the power of faith means the power to believe in our unlimited potential we possess. We can create values from anything we face. If you have questions, please feel free to e-mail me.
And please check this web site for more info.

Get 108 wooden beads and string them up, if you can.
Sit down in a private place, maybe even lay down if you feel tired.
then take a deep breath and chant 108 times (quietly or loudly but at least audible to yourself,)
hare krishna hare krishna krishna krishna hare hare
hare rama hare rama rama rama hare hare
Maybe I will make a video about how you can do it.
Your head may be full of ideas and things to do or worry about, but just let them pass by and keep chanting until you have chanted the above mantra 108 times.
It always works, (especially more audible and more times)
edit: if you don't have the beads, you can use your fingers or any other counting device, but the beads are the best.

You sound angry and depressed. You also say that your mom is "so controlling" by not wanting you to hang out with folks that are suicidal, or with a boy whose picture you want to display on your computer....You didn't say how old you are, but you sound very very young. Perhaps your controlling mother is a worried mother, who is merely trying to protect her young daughter from being hurt. Its hard being young and having to live by adult rules, but not impossible. Look up the Serenity Prayer that 12 Step folks use. You might find it to be of some comfort.

Just chanting something is not going to change your life (or situations you are going through) Who are you praying to, who do you think will answer your prayers? You have to believe first. My advise is find a good church nearby and try it out. Learn a little about it, and see how your heart feels. If you have a Bible in the house read Proverbs, it tells you about being wise.....

Try the Heroic Creed --
LIFE IS A MYTHIC JOURNEY
I AM A MYTHIC HERO, THE PROTAGONIST OF MY OWN UNIQUE SAGA
I AM THE GODS WHO CALL ME, THE GODS I SEEK, THE GODS I SERVE, THE GODS WHOSE MYTHS I LIVE
MY CHALLENGES ARE HERE, BEFORE ME, IN THE ETERNAL NOW
MY ADVENTURE NEVER ENDS
I ASSUME FULL RESPONSIBILITY FOR ALL MY CHOICES AND ACTIONS
I AM A MULTI-DIMENSIONAL BEING AND CAN NEVER, IN TRUTH, BE FETTERED WITHOUT MY CONSENT
THE REALMS OF MYTH, MAGIC AND LEGEND ARE HERE, AROUND ME AND WITHIN ME. TO EXPERIENCE THEM I NEED ONLY SHIFT MY PERSPECTIVE, SLIGHTLY
If you prefer to use the singular God instead of the plural Gods, I don't think that it would matter...... Remember that life is YOUR saga to live... Blessings

Our Father, who art in heaven,
hallowed be thy name.
Thy Kingdom come,
thy will be done,
on earth as it is in heaven
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.
For thine is the kingdom, the power and the glory. for ever and ever. Amen
