i find my self clearing my throat alot...i can feel mucus drip from the back off my throat from my nose..SOMETIMES....
im always coughing to clear my throat..i dont really get sore throats, rarely sometimes when i wake up in the morning... it's been bugging me for awhile, i've had this problem since 3rd grade.. i'd really like to solve it... ty

Post nasal drip is when you have a runny nose and the mucus drips into your throat. Usually you will find yourself clearing your throat and have excess phlegm and mucus built up there. There can also be a pain involved. I get Post Nasal Drip often and it's terribly painful for me. I wasn't aware that Post nasal drip was a long term condition and I really don't think it is (sorry if I'm wrong about that...).

Well, that is what it sounds like. You probably have it. I get it too mostly during the winter. Try to stay away from irritants such as sprays (perfumes, hair spray) Also, if you are allergic to anything try to stay away from it. Next time you go to a Doctor, ask them about it and have them check it out.

Its not worth going to your family doc over, but the next time you go for something, just ask the Dr about it and see what he says. Sounds like thats what it may be though.
