what good would a wall do? When people want to be somewhere bad enough, thet'll find a way to get there no matter the obstacle.

I agree, it's unrealistic to talk or think about a wall or fence across the Mexico Boarder. The United States has many ways and boarders in which to enter, what Bush is doing now is only Politics. The problems we now have will not be resolved with a fence or wall. like the old saying after the horse is out don't try to close the barn door. Many of the problems started with making changes in the United States to suit the different people with their different languages and ways of maintaining their life's, which made it easy to enter the U.S..

There is a secret 14 mile long wall built during the Clinton regime via Duncan Hunter and his voters near San Diego. Del Rio and El Paso have the guts to arrest illegals and make their second offense a FELONY but most are scared of the drug cartels.
Texas Governor Perry, scared of losing votes, sent 18 National Guardsmen on a border holiday so he could say he "did something". It is believed that the Guardsmen all had a GOOD time as ordered.

A physical wall will be useless...IF Congress stops waffling enough to actually build one. Who says you can climb over with a bit of rope? Or dig under? Or smuggle over on trucks? Or drill a hole through it?

The only border security we're going to get is if they follow through with the "virtual wall" idea (kind of like a laser-system of sorts)...but GUESS WHAT? The program has a glitch in it!!!! Surprise, surprise. Didn't expect anything to come through anyway.

Actually the wall here in arizona is almost finished. It doesn't help anything but it is getting built. What do you think all of the National Guard people have been doing on the border? They can't patrol, they aren't qualified.

The best wall would be built INSIDE the USA. It would be a bold, aggressive and thorough LEGAL SYSTEM.

If you're talking about the U.S./Mexico border, there will be a series of walls, but not one long one.
