It's getting annoying to me that people always say "humans didn't evolve from monkeys!" as "proof" that evolution is BS. Well if you looked in a middle school science book you would find that it states that humans and others primates ultimately evolved from one species. It says that this one species branched off into several more species like orangutans, gorillas, and whatnot. One of those branched species branched into two more SEPERATE species: chimpanzees and humans. That's why some monkeys are similar to humans, while others are more different. Somebody said "If humans evolved from chimps, then why aren't chimps evolving into humans anymore?" Well this is why! Because the last species before humans either evolved into humans or chimps, and humans and chimps are now on their seperate ways. Stop saying that if given time some random gorilla will decide to evolve into a full blown human. I'm not forcing my beliefs, just stop saying such ridiculous things about the theory of evolution.

1. Thanks, I like to rant
2. What spelling errors?
3. I blatantly pointed out (or so I thought) that I wasn't forcing this on anyone as proof that creationism doesn't exist. The whole point of this "rant" was to maybe get some people to understand that humans didn't evolve from chimps. Don't say that I think I proved creationism wrong.

4. The answer I said for the dumb question "why don't humans evolve from chimps anymore?" seemed pretty good to me. For example, if humans sometime branched off into two more species (called 1 and 2 for clarity), that question would be implying that species 1 would be able to evolve into species 2. Even though 1 and 2 both evolved from humans, they are now seperate species, soon to each branch off into even more new species. Sorry if that's confusing, I struggle to clarify the obvious.

Oh, and this is all hypothetical. If Darwins theory is correct, then, hypothetically, chimps can't evolve into humans. Once again, I'm not forcing this on anyone. Just clearing something up about the theory.

I don't care if people think they came from monkeys, but when they get other people involved and say they evolved from monkies, then that gets me mad because other people have their own different beliefs of what they evolved from, so you shouldn't tell people what they came from...they might not agree with your statement.

Anyway, if we came from monkies then wouldn't the monkies have died out already?
And your sentence that answers the question "If humans evolved from chimps, then why aren't chimps evolving into humans anymore?"... doesn't make any sense, It's a poor answer.

Then if we share a undemanding ancestor then we are did our ancestors stepped forward from ? Hmmmmm? How dose that make any experience? And why so good judgment and not lifelike i'm specific are ancestors stepped forward from monkey like mamals did no longer you ever watch the evolution of guy from natgeo. we've been fairly monkeys rominng the floor then grew to become bipedal ate meat grew to become smart used procedures so your telling me that under the astounding circumstances i won't be able to reason yet another species to adapt to boost into bipedal boost greater smart or perhaps genetically regulate thier race with human DNA to boost into like us. it particularly is rediculus and close minded i think we are human to do exactly that. yet then lower back the human race is egocentric and basically idol a stupid God or w/e yet some time past guy got here up with this stupid mentality that nature is agains us yet like human beings consistently.what we predict of is against us is actual what have been against human beings are the real God's!!!!!! If God gave us intelligence why no longer animals consistent with probability the international may be greater advantageous off

Well when one, such as a Catholic or a Born Again has been raised to believe that it is hearsay to not believe that Adam and eve were just suddenly there, they try to make the more likely, more possible explanation sound idiotic, not realizing they don't understand the simplest parts of the theory of evolution, which is quite easy to grasp in my mind.

well actually its totally possible that monkeys can once again evolve into humans again....
at least thats what science says so...and yes what you say is right...or thats what i think.....
its also VERY gradual...it didnt happen all of a sudden it occurred over 100000s of years as the beginning of the new species slowly evolved to fit their habitats and climate.....it all started when a monkey had some type of bone problem when it could not walk like a regular monkey and instead walked upright...then it slowly evolved (through many decendaants) and voila humans

so thats what i believe...you and everyone else can go believe whatever you want to believe no one is going to make you change your mind....

Some people can't grasp the fact we evolved from a common ancestor. That's why there are still monkeys. Additionally, many people misunderstand the definition of theory as it pertains to science.

They believe what they want to believe and will not be swayed by facts or logic. You can't demand that someone with an IQ of 100 think like they have an IQ of 130. It's frustrating but the world is stuck with them.

The similarity between human beings and monkeys is far and away the strongest argument in favor of evolution

people can't get their head round the timespans - geological timespans and evolutionary timespans are measured in millions of years. Yes you do get occasional evolutionary mutations, but these are rare and not what evolution is about. No chimp ever gave birth to a human, and never will........

Speciation is an important component of evolution and the one that people choose to ignore as it is the tangible proof of evolution. Speciation is a phenomenon that can be observed int he current animal kingdom.
