For heavens sake, it does not say, and the first of God's days ended. It says the sun sets, so was the xth day. No matter how you spin it, it's a earth day not a God say which people seem to think can be any arbitrary value they pick to try and explain evolution in Christian terms, it's wrong. Read a direct translation like KJV (King James Version) This says it the way i stated, and is the most direct word for word translation.

1 million, 1 thousand, either way we need to have a good starting point to determine what day it is.
Although, by biblical reference we're either in the sabbath (1 million years is not up yet from creation) or it is several thousand away.

thousand. I guess you should be keeping it now. if each day is 1000 years, then we entered the sabbath day in 2004!

Actually, it says that to God, one day is like a thousand years. It is not to be taken literally.
