I had a litter of 8 but sadly lost the mom and 2 pups. I had 2 litters of 7 where all pups survivied but mom had eclampsia both times and I took a couple of the pups off and put on another mom. Have had several litters of 6. I know someone that had a litter of 10 but all pups died. They were premature. Mom couldn't carry them to term. Avewrage size chi litter is 3-4 pups.

I have seen up to 8 at once.
My little girl had 6. Pray for a litter of at least three. Smaller puppies are easier to pass. And the litter size helps determine the puppy size.

I've experienced mine both ways too... but my husband prefers it short... he never complains when I grow it lengthy, but is always all over himself w/the complements when I cut it off

sometimes they one have one. some times 2. If there are more than two they may be awfully small and not all viable.
