I just found out a mintue ago that one of my close friends sister died. I didnt know who it was at first but then I asked someone and they said she died by a seizure. This puzzled me because I never heard of anyone dying by a seizure. Is it possible?

Yes. If one falls and hits their head on cement or other hard surface, it could cause a hemorrhage in the head. If a person vomits and aspirates( gets it into the lungs) they could 'drown' , suffocate. Or fall off the edge of a higher place, eg a balcony, or ledge. Or around machinery, a car, etc. A seizure alone would not kill a person, unless they had a bad heart and the stress of muscle contractions placed too much demand on their heart.
It is nice to catch a person if they are falling down if you can. and to turn them on their side so that if they vomit it would have a lower way to for the vomitus to escape from the mouth.

Seizures are caused by abnormal electrical discharges in the brain. Symptoms may vary depending on the part of the brain that is involved, but seizures often cause unusual sensations, uncontrollable muscle spasms, and loss of consciousness.

Some seizures may be the result of a medical problem. Low blood sugar, infection, a head injury, accidental poisoning, or drug overdose can cause a seizure. A seizure may also be due to a brain tumor or other health problem affecting the brain. In addition, anything that results in a sudden lack of oxygen to the brain can cause a seizure. In some cases, the cause of the seizure is never discovered.

When seizures recur, it may indicate the chronic condition known as epilepsy.

Yes it is possible. Each seizure causes a lack of blood to the brain which can cause damage, more with each seizure. In turn some then go into cardiac arrest.

It is possible. I lost a good friend that way last year.

You can die from choking or asphyxia while having a seizure, but a lot of people get fatal injuries from falling.
