and i am for the most part (fasting, no water, no kind of sex during the day and more of the basics) however, i am not praying more often or reading the Koran. My question deals with this. If you were at a college, and they hosted a Ramadan dinner every night, would you be offended if I attended?

If you aren't Muslim, then no. I think it's really respectable that you're choosing to do this and learning what Ramadan is really about for Muslims.

It would be wonderful if you attended. Even if you weren't fasting, I don't see why you couldn't attend - especially if you wanted to learn about the religion.

Peace be upon you.

I am Jewish but would love to attend a Ramadan dinner to learn more about it. I can say if you celebrated the Jewish holidays with us then I would feel honored you reached out and I am guessing Muslims would feel the same way, especially now when anti-Muslims feelings are pretty high.
Good for you!
I hope you learn a lot and share with the rest of us.
Cheers!

Your question is not clear. Who is the "you" that will get offended?

Muslims don't mind if a non-Muslim join us for breaking fast-- our laws and requirements wrt worship like fasting do not apply to non-Muslims. So even if you join us to break meal yet you didn't fast, it doesn't matter.

Unless of course if you finish up all the food and the Muslims who fast don't get any that will surely be hurtful to them.
