Ultram is a pain medication. Valium is to treat anxiety. They have nothing to do with each other.

The Ultram is a mild pain reliever, and the valium is a sedative, or anti-anxiety pill. You should have no ill effects taking them together. The valium can also act as a musle relaxer and pain reliever. Your dr. would not have prescribed them together if it was not safe to take them together.

Of course, asking the Physician who prescribed you these meds would answer ur question. The ultram is for pain- Valium is for anti-anxiety and can help with muscular tightness. Check out these sites:
www.valium.com
www.ultram.com
prdhealth.com- alphabetized list of prescription meds- talks of their effects, etc.
Hope this helped. Good luck!

If you read up on any of these 2 drugs they are not meant to be taken together becuase they both cause drowsiness. I was on tramadol a few months ago and the doctor prescribed me valium and told me to make sure i DO NOT take them together and to chose which one i need to take more.
I wouldnt risk it as it can cause breathing difficultys and more.
