I haven't been to the doctor in about 2 years and that's becuz i quit my job that had insurance. Now with another job (been there a year) they don't offer insurance. I know i need a check up. Does anyone have any ideas of going to get an exam put not paying full price? Are there any options besides getting insurance?

Your local health department. Generally the health department charges on a sliding scale based on your ability to pay. Even if you have to pay the highest amount, it will still be less than what a private practice Dr will charge.

For your gyno - see your local health department or Planned Parenthood. You will also be able to get birth control from them.

I don't know where you live, but there should be a free clinic near you. Try and google it or look it up in the phone book. These places cater to people that can't afford insurance and either are completely free or at an extremely reduced price. They usually have payment plans if they are going to charge you. Call ahead to make an appointment and inquire about costs.
