,when I intend to start up a factory, after my undergrad? I have plans to create this factory in China that will export products back to US. So I also might do a minor in international business to increase my knowledge about the intricacies in global business. If I do successfully graduate with a engineering degree, would I be able to create products and eventually manufacture them? I don't know the details so if anyone can inform me, that'd be great.

I'm not trying to be a jerk, but maybe you have misread what I have wrote. I'm going to START up a factory with my father. I'm not going over there to manage someone else's factory. My father who's chinese, is actually friends with government officials in the area where I plan to establish my factory.

Probably industrial engineering and international business would be more useful. Industial engineering looks at the management of processes and people more so than mechanical.

You're never too old to get an education. Think about the people who work in factories and other jobs only to be laid off and have to start a new career. Some of these people are in their 40's and 50's. You can do anything you put your mind to. If you decide not to or if you put it off, time will still pass regardless of what you decide. Why not start now? I've seen too many people put of going to college and then after five or so years have passed, decide to finally go. They could be done by now! The sooner you start, the sooner you'll finish. 25 is young! I'm 26 and I just decided to go to school this year and recieve my Bachelors degree, even though I have an associates degree, but still you can do it!

Great idea, but you'll be competing with about one million chinese native engineers, who will be very happy to work 100 hours a week and work for less than a janitor gets here in the USA or Europe...... and who will be well-connected to local party officials..... without which you will have no chance of succeeding.
