When i was 12 i did this. I was walking around a park, and i saw the cop. I looked at him (made sure he saw me), i looked terrified then looked in my purse and turned away and ran. He chased after me thinking i had done something wrong. I ran for a few seconds before stopping. i said i couldnt hear him. He asked me why i was running, i just said i was in a hurry. He searched my bag, and saw i only had homemade cookies. he was so pissed! he knew i had pulled one on him and made him look dumb.

I'd say DELIBERATELY p*** off a cop is an excellent method of getting arrested. It has been said that simply being within the US, you are violating at least 6 laws. If you actually p*** off a cop, they just may determine which ones.

Even in a situation like that, you can get in trouble for distracting a police officer from his duties. Yes, that is a charge.
