(I actually heard this during the broadcast of a game quite a few years ago!)
After Hank Stram retired from coaching, he became an announcer. Before one game, while he was explaining the strategy that he thought one of the teams should use, he said, "You gotta lick 'em up front first. Then you can go deep on 'em later on."
