If I live in one town and use a certain pharmacy for one perscription, but get another from a different appointment then head out of town where there are different pharmacy branches, can I just have them pull up my information? Or do I have to register at the whole new pharmacy?

The best ones ARE. Do you have CVS? They ARE. You have to ask your pharmacy. You might want to switch to one that are linked. (Maybe Walgreen's?) :)

If you have your prescription at Walgreens, you can have it filled at any Walgreens. Same with Rite-aid, and probably a lot of others.

If you have a prescription and need a refill when you are out of town where your pharmacy chain doesn't exist, you can have a pharmacist call your regular store to fill it. I think you can do that in most states; some may have laws against it.

If you go to the same chain, you should be in their system. If you go to another pharmacy, then no, you'll have to be registered in their system.
