Arctic sea ice may have started rebuilding after reaching a record low, according to the National Snow and Ice Data Center. Arctic ice now covers 1.61 million square miles, the agency said Thursday, up from 1.59 million Sept. 16, which appears to be the minimum. (Snip) The Northwest Passage between the Atlantic and Pacific oceans along the coasts of Canada and Alaska remains open but it starting to refreeze, the center said.

Naw... These people live for the fear of pending doom. For them, any increase in the ice is only more proof that the Earth is heating up and global warming is real.

Wow, the seasons are changing and more water in the arctic is freezing!. That would be really bizzare if it didn't happen every year. Trying living in Fairbanks Alaska for a while. It's a pretty noticable cycle.

My God, you mean it gets colder in the winter?

You're absolute right, that amazing fact totally refutes global warming. Scientists must certainly be idiots for not noticing before.

I think this probably has more to do with the changing seasons rather than an end to Global Warming.

Got a link?

Never mind, I have it. Certainly does not say that. What it says is that we've reached the usual ANNUAL minimum this week, but the overall trend continues downward (Fig 2). The present conditions are near catastrophic, environmentally (Fig 1, Fig 3) Nice Site!

yup, i know what you are saying.....it's been officially proven that arctic ice and northern glaciers aren't melting, they were, but only for a short period in time and that is normal, the over-all rate actually shows that the its getting colder in these regions, they are freezing, not melting and sea levels are definitely not being effected.........

I am curious to know what you feel generally about the so called 'threat' of global warming.....
