Hey there, I need a first car and I am already a decent driver so thats ok. Can't be more then about $8000. It doesn't matter if it is a 2 door or 4, I just want to be able to haul my friends around. I've been looking at the Nissan 300ZX twin turbo cars but they don't have back seats and the 2+2's only have 222 hp. I would like to have something with around 280hp and be able to haul my friends around when needed.

Any recommendations? Thanks!

I doubt that you could find one in your price range, but it is worth it to look into the 2004 Acura TL. This is a 4 door, FWD luxury car that is very performance freindly. This car will have plenty of room for you and all your friends, and also the power that you are looking for, along with the reliability of Honda. This car was at 1 point the fastest stock FWD car, but now the Dodge Neon SRT4 and Mazdaspeed 3 are faster. The TL has 270hp and 238 lb/ft of torque. It goes from 0-60mph in 6 seconds flat!! This car is absolutely amazing, the only downside is that it may not be as sporty looking as what you want, but it will definitely keep up with everything else.
280hp rules out a lot of very fast and very sporty cars, so you may want to look into others that are a little less, but still very fast. Like the Subaru WRX, VW GTI, Acura Integra GSR, Honda Prelude, Nissan 240sx, Toyota Celica GTS, or an older BMW M3, all very nice performance cars!

try looking at a mitsubishi eclipse they will fall a little short of you HP requirement, but you can always increase the horsepower by adding a cold air intake or other simple mods.
