Is it love, indifference, hate?

I've known this guy about a year, and we have the weirdest hot and cold ralationship. We have amazing conversations, but beyond them we barely talk. As he walks, and if I dont start the conversation with him, he ignores me. Actually, when he approached me for the first time afew days ago, I was quite surprised. It seems like he can remember anything I've ever said to him, and that we get along wonderfully. Three friends of mine gave their opinions, that he likes me, that he likes our convos but nothing more, and that he doesnt like me at all and just doesnt want to be afraid. He seems fairly shy, and for my part I'm hoping that he likes me. Can anyone try and understand his behavior? I'm clueless when it comes to this sort of thing.

Actually were all clueless, even the bible doesn't have anwser for this, that aside. Lets learn something important frist (can use later in life!) that when a person remembers your conversations its a good indication that they think of you outside that conversation. Signs of love, (like is actually a pretty immature interpetation of feels, grow past that) and a person trying to understand and enjoy something they got from someone else. Now the part I know you'd love to know, how much does he want to love you. That is only his guess, we can't, I'd venture to "assume" that he is feeling "feelings" that he doesn't understand, alot like yourself (outside his behavior) and doesn't know what he wants to do with that. Realize right now the whole true love in highschool thing is very pase in that its a one-in-a-million chance, and the chances only get better the more history you develop. So base your eventually descions if you feel for this guy on that, in other words don't move fast, and stay for the long haul. Now unfornutely thou, if you caring for this boy, you ether wait for him to grow some ballz, or you get them and do the talking for the both of you, ether way this is one of those its your life, do what helps you sleep at night things... sorry love is an individual thing and advice can only go so far.
