When my son was 4, we went to the doctors office. The office has four floors and we were on the bottom, waiting for the elevator. I turned my back on him for a few seconds to call the other two of my children to come near me, and the turd pulled the fire alarm lever! I told the office close to the elevator about it and they informed security, but on the way up, when the elevator door would open to let people in, you could see everyone running out of the offices. When I got to the top floor, it was caouse! Babies in diapers and parents all trying to get out of the office, I had to yell and let everyone know that it was my son who had pulled the lever and it was not a real fire. Talk about embarrassing. The doctor and nurses weren't upset, actually, they laughed. I had to get onto them to stop them from laughing in front of my child so that he wouldn't think it was okay. We had a very long talk, my child and I, and I explained what he'd just caused. Now he doesn't go near them. In the end, everyone was just glad that that it wasn't a real fire. Whew, what a day that was!

Well, my two youngest haven't really done anything major. My 11 yr old the worst he's done is this past summer when he went to the local pool with his older half-brother (who is autistic and has a hard time controling bodily functions). Well, unfortunally the older son ended up going int he pool on accident and my 11 yr old gathered up his friends and teased him in front of everyone which hurt his brother really badly. We were pissed and he knew it. He's still being punished. Not allowed video games here and has to do what he's told to do without question. He's done pretty good but who knows how long this will last, when he learns

When my 9 year old was in 1st grade, she let a boy kiss her at school on a dare. She lied to me about it...although two kids verified she did it. She later admitted it..after the punishment was given. Her punishment for lying-not kissing- was missing a field trip the next day. The entire 1st grade was going so she had to stay in Kindergarden all day.
I was sooo pissed she let that boy kiss her! But I had never told her not to do that; so I couldn't punish her for it. so, now we've had that talk and it would be big time punishment if she did it again.

Well, I'm 16, so I'm not a father yet (and won't be for at least a decade). The worst thing I did wasn't disciplinary, just gross. I was in South Carolina on the beach, and I was 2. I had to go to the bathroom (I was just beginning toilet training) really badly, so I sat on my dad's shoulders while he ran back to our RV. He couldn't go any faster, and I couldn't hold it, so I went all down his back. He was disgusted, but my mom (following us with my sister) laughed so hard she almost fell over.

My 2 year old daughter took a blue ink pen to our beige leather chairs. I was in shock. I showed her the chairs, told her no, and had her sit in the corner. I'm not going to spank her for it. How she got the pen in the first place is what I'm wondering. We put everything away. Oh, well! Any tips on how to get ink out of leather. I scrubbed and already tried a handful of cleaners. Nothing's worked!

My son is very good--normally.
We were getting into the car and he decided to run off. Scared me to death. He got his first--and only--swat. He hasn't done it since. For the most part I do not hit but in that situation I felt I had to get the point across.
He's almost two years old. [Wow!] He did it when he was about sixteen-eighteen months old.

My twin 2 yo boys, about 3 months ago started having a fascination with the wood heater. They had never ever gone near it before then.
It was just before winter and we was burning wood block (they are made out of paper and wood chips and make heaps of mess, but burn really quick. ) over night. We in the morning after Andrew left, I was having a shower and they decided to get into the heater. They started emptying out the contents, thank god it wasn't hot!
i came out and yelled at them! I was so angry. Then gave them a bath. It then happened again about 2 hours later. I yelled again and gave them a bath.
Later after that I was getting the washing in and they did it once more. I was so furious at them i grabbed their hand took them outside and hosed them off with a garden hose.
Then bought them in and changed them.
They have never gone near the heater again. I was really scared that they would touch the heater when it was hot. But I can always remember how angry i was at them that day. It was so out of charactor for them.
