PS3 is better.

Let's compare them

PS3 has 8 kernels in Cell processor, Xbox 360 -only 3x2
PS3 uses advanced tech called Blu-Ray, one disc can store up to 50 gb (in the future - up to 200 gb), Xbox 360 - regular DVD (4.7 gb).
Calculations per sec - PS3 - 51-billion-dot-product-operati... per second
Xbox 360 - 33.6-billion-dot-product-opera... per second
PS3 has full media support - USBs, built-in card reader (except 20 gb version), ability to use printer and so on.
Xbox 360 has USBs and only 2 memory slots.
PS3 supports up to 7 Bluetooth Controllers
Xbox 360 - up to 4 Controllers
PS3 - wi-fi included (except 20 gb version)
Xbox 360 - wi-fi will cost you around 130 $

Xbox 360 is widely known for so-called "red ring of doom" problem - it gets overheated easily. My PS3 was running for more than 8 hours non-stop with no problems. Sometimes Xbox 360 becomes so overheated, that thermopaste on CPU melts, drips on motherboard and successfully shortcircuits it.

Besides all of this, I've seen disassembled Xbox 360 - regular PC architecture - Billy Gates is a uninventive nerd (as usual).
When I saw disassembled PS3 - it was a surprise - smart architecture, good cooling (don't buy external PS3 coolers - they make everything worse - original system is good), etc.

In 2008 we'll get more than 300 games.

In some countries people call Xbox 360 "Coffin 360".

I own Ps3.

The PS3 without a doubt. I personally don't think that the PS3 is expensive because when you look at all you are getting for the money, the price is really lower than it should be. I paid $685 for mine and I still think that it was worth the money.

The Xbox 360 is poorly built and if you buy a 360, there is a great chance that you will experience hardware failure because 30% of Xbox's are faulty. The PS3 doesn't have that problem at all because Sony takes pride in what it builds.

To me, the PS3 has some great exclusive titles out and several more awesome exclusives on the way that I can't wait for. The only thing the Xbox has is Halo and Gears of War, and the Halo series is ending this year anyway.

One major thing that the PS3 has that the Xbox doesn't have is the capability to surf web pages. I've checked my Yahoo email using my PS3 and have shopped on Ebay using my PS3. The 360 can only play online games. Plus the PS3 has Bluetooth, built in Wi-Fi, and a Blu-Ray drive. Go with the PS3 because it is worth the money.

PS3 is only $20 more than the 360 Elite....Geeze people get it straight....

For that extra $20 you get a blue ray player, game system with a better graphics card, an internet browser etc, wifi, free online play, a dvd movie upscaler to hd quality, you can stream media from the computer, you can check your email and as far as games you can 75 ps3 games and 2400ps2 and ps1 games upscaled to hd , so how many games does xbox have? , With the ps3 you get a full hd entertainment system...

So before you choose ask yourself which system will be outdated first-----Xbox 360 has already been re-released once to add hdmi, it's being rereleased again again this winter to add the cheaper 65nm chip... and it still has never updated the GPU for better graphics so even if you ran out and bought the 360 then the elite then the 65nm you still have outdated dx 9 graphics....So 360 will re-release by the end of 2008 and the beginning of 2009 ----

Ps3 is already years ahead of it's time and was built by a company that has been on the hardware side of building and engineering computers, TVs, and entertainment equipment for over thirty years ...

. Microsoft just threw together a basic computer that is software driven. Microsoft is a software company that tried to use a grab bag of parts to piece together a computer that ran it's software exclusively.....

Xbox 360 red ring of death has already taken down over 33% of the 360 sold.... THe ps3 is hardware driven and so far the only issues are human error. ....

They are both great Systems but the PS3 IS very Expensive but has really good quality parts. However the XBOX360 is cheaper in price now and has a lot of affordable games but sometimes you run into problems if you do not take good care of your xbox360 And it is good to sign up online for the warranty.

Xbox 360. Xbox Live is amazing, and the interface of the 360 is a million times better than the PS3.

The Xbox 360 is good now (Halo 3), but the PlayStation 3 will be victorious in 2008.

Xbox 360 is a way better price than the PS3. Also, the xbox 360 has good games and a lot of games, PS3 has a short amount of games and no good games are out or coming soon.

its too soon to judge betwwen them.360 sucked hard when it first came out and took a year to get good games.ps3 believe it or not is doing alot better even after the incredible bad press compared to the 360's first year.we will see what sony's plans for the system are in the coming year.maybe it will be better than 360 but its not now.

let just go without the price because if we did that then ps3 is CHEAPER....how do you ask, look at what the ps3 come with compare to what you have to buy individual to get a xbox to where the ps3 is. the hddvd to play movies, the online yearly charge, and then for wireless controller got to pay for that the list go on, everyone is right they got more games but they started as slow as the ps3 when it just came out. they got halo 3 but what if you don't like halo like myself what else is their???? anyways then we go with the warranty.....ps3 offer a one year warranty compare to 3. that because sony doesn't expect your console to break down!!! micro will repair it but won't fix it..what the difference repair it work for awhile maybe for 3 year then it will break, their an idea!? fix is when the circle of death is gone!!!! yea get a 360 don't play on it to much might be one of the lucky 1/3 to get a red circle of death then you can be on here asking "how long before i get my 360 back" enough said...games sony coming out with the same game are going to on both console but that sony decision they didn't want to pay for the exclusive because game developers are already talking about how their going to be able to do extra thing with the ps3 version......so you sit down and think about it...do you want a console that you can turn on without worrying if it going to break or sit and think when are you going to get your console back!!!
