People who live in the area, or people who have been there, what is this beach like? I am looking for a beach to relax for a day or two in about a week. Will Hermosa have alot of girls around my age (18-26)? What is the swimwear like at this beach? I have heard that some beaches in the Los Angeles area are more risque and some are more conservative. Where does this beach fall with that?
Also, please recommend some good hotels along the beach or a short distance from the beach.

Hmmm, I think you want to go to the beach at Santa Monica or Huntington, Hermosa is fine but not what I think of when I am looking for ...ummm... well whatever you seem to be looking for...

Hermosa and Manhattan are both excellent beaches. Lots of hard bodies and plenty of skin showing. Venice Beach is the total freak show. I saw my first thong there, and it was gross. The lady really should have shaved her rear end before displaying it. Hagrid had was less hairy than this girl's backside... now there's a word picture. If you go further south, Huntington is also very popular.
Have fun, (I'm too old for that sort of stuff anyway, and Mrs. Obviousman would kick my a$$ if I tried).

Hermosa is the "in" place for young adults. You will have fun. BUT....we are expecting a rain storm in the next couple of days, so hopefully by next week the weather will be great again.

It's great! The lifeguards are always on the phone with the cops, so if you want to see topless, go elsewhere.
