I am a Jew because the faith of Israel demands no abdication of my mind.

I am a Jew because the faith of Israel asks every possible sacrifice of my soul.

I am a Jew because in all places where there are tears and suffering the Jew weeps.

I am a Jew because in every age when the cry of despair is heard the Jew hopes.

I am a Jew because the message of Israel is the most ancient and the most modern.

I am a Jew because Israel's promise is a universal promise.

I am a Jew because for Israel the world is not finished; men will complete it.

I am a Jew because for Israel man is not yet fully created; men are creating him.

I am a Jew because Israel places man and his unity above nations and above Israel itself.

I am a Jew because above man, image of the divine unity, Israel places the unity which is divine.

I'm Roman Catholic. My father used to be religious when he was a younger man, but gave up church practices when he started working at a new job about five years ago. My mother prays often but doesn't go to church, either. I started a habit when I was about eleven to go to church on my own. I think it takes a little pious courage to do that, especially at age eleven.

I pray regularly, at least once a day. I love God, above all, even though I don't agree with some of the "rules" and beliefs concerning modern day society of the church.

Why do I "believe what I do"? Honestly, I just follow this specific religion because that's how I was brought up and that's the religion of my family. When I was a little kid, I just had an unconditional love for God. I didn't know why. He was just there. It was just a few years ago that I was actually inspired to full-heartedly love God, for what He did for us, as humans, and what he will continue to do for the rest of the world and after our bodies are beneath the ground.

If I was any other religion, I would still love God. And faith is all that really matters, isn't it?

I'm not a saint, by far. But I try my hardest to be the best person I can be. And, if I do say so myself, I'm not doing so bad.

I am a Christian, and I don't know how devout I am, but I am serious... I read the bible every night, I firmly believe all it says, but there are some things that I don't obey - like sex before marriage (I've only had sex with one guy and I plan to marry him, but I haven't been as good as I ought to be) and also I haven't ever sacrificed an animal which the bible is quite specific about, same with working on a Sunday. My parents are athiests ( I have had many a debate with my mother over religion) so nobody can say I was brainwashed at an early age, I just wanted to go to church and haven't left the place!

I believe in God just because I think its the most important thing a person can ever have, I mean, without the bible I don't know what sort of person I would be, would I have countless affairs or steal or hit my parents? Because all those things are seriously not acceptable in the bible, but what if I didn't have a book to say that, would humans have any morals at all? How do we know what is right or wrong?

But I also believe in God for personal reasons. I like the fact that if I really screw up and my boyfriend leaves me and my parents turn their back on my then I will always have God, and perhaps that gives me confidence? You know, I can't sleep if I haven't read some of the bible or prayed to God, because it just doesn't feel right.

I would say on a scale of 1 to 10 of how serious I am about it (10 being the most serious) I am a definate 10! lol. My Savior is the Lord Jesus Christ. He came to the Earth to save me, and everybody else for that matter! He died on the cross for my sins, your sins, and everyone elses sins. He was burried, and on the third day, basically came back to life! He now lives with God the Father, in Heaven, and is waiting for everyone to accept His free gift! What is that gift you ask? Eternal LIFE baby! How do you aquire this gift? It's SO simple! You just believe that He did those things for you, and that He loves you so incredibly much! And I believe that with all my heart! And guess what? I love Him too! He is the most amazing thing that has EVER happend to me, or will happen to me. He SAVED me! He died for me. If thats not love, I don't know what is. But your question was, ''What Religion are you?'' I dont have a religion! 'WOA!' You're thinking-that sure sounds like Christianity! Well you're right, I am a Christian. BUT--Its not a religion. Its a RELATIONSHIP with my Savior. He's my savior, but He's also like my Father, and my friend! My best friend infact! He will never leave me, or forsake me! In times of trouble, hardship, and saddness, AND in times of joy, happiness, peace and rejoicing, I know I can always count on Him to be there for me. I sound like a VERY happy person, dont I? Well I am! and you can be too! You just have to accept His gift. I so wish you would accept that gift so I could have the chance to meet you up in Heaven someday, and rejoice that we are brothers and sisters in Christ. Please don't give me the best answer, because it's not me that should get the credit for anything--only the Lord Jesus Christ!
Hope you have a great day in the Lord!
Rachel :)

I'm Roman Catholic. I attend Mass regularly, and was raised in a very strict Catholic home. But I'll just be honest and say that I'm unsure as to my level of devoutness (despite frequent church attendance), because there are certain aspects of church dogma that I have a hard time believing (for instance, the Church's ban on birth control has never made sense to me). But I believe in the majority of the Church's doctrine, and find Catholic services very spiritually moving. I'm very much into studying other religions. I've attended a lot of non-Catholic services, but I stay in the Church because nothing else has come close to being as meaningful and fulfilling to me personally.

What religion? I'm a SUPERCHRISTIAN
How serious? Not very

Wtf does this mean? I created a religion for former Christians based on the belief that once saved always saved. Since we reject God and everything that goes with him, we need a new purpose for the afterlife, being heavenbound and all that good stuff. The idea is that we all join forces once in heaven and pretty much take over. We kick God off his throne and tear down the pearly gates to build a ladder reaching down to hell. All the cool people in hell will then be able to climb up the ladder and join us for the biggest wildest party in history. If that's not a SUPERCHRISTIAN, I don't know what is.

Why am I not very serious about it? Because God, Jesus, the bible, etc. is all a bunch of horsesh!t. But my religion seems to bother many a Christian. So mission accomplished, I'd say.

Christian, pretty serious. It's the most important thing in my life. Why I believe what I believe - that is a huge question and if I gave you all the reasons why, I would not be able to fit my answer into the space provided. I know that doesn't satisfy your requirements for best answer, and I don't mean to give a pat answer, but it's just me being honest. Hope you find what you are looking for. Hugs!

I have no religion. I identify myself as an atheist - meaning I do not believe in any god, higher power or other diety.

Why do I believe this? The bible never made logical sense to me and when I began learning more about science and the scientific discoveries we have made about humans, Earth, the solar system and our universe I found something that actually made sense.

And many of the things in Science are things I myself can test - I can go out and try and find fossils. I can get a telescope and look at the stars.

With all the scientific knowledge we have I see absolutely no evidence for a god, diety or other higher power behind it all. And therefore I believe there is none.

I am Catholic. I have trouble explaining my faith, but I love the mass so much and Catholosism just makes sense ex:] the science matches up with the Bible whereas you don't find that in protestant faiths.
Catholosism was for 1500 years until Martin Luther decided he didn't like some things. He took 7 books out of the Bible and "protested" against Catholics, hence Protestant.
Anyway, Catholosism is amazing and I wish I could find the right words to explain it to you. Er, imagine religion being a salad bar (I know it's a corny comparison) and Catholics take a little bit of everything from the salad bar whereas Protestant faiths pick out only what they like.

I'm a Heathen, practicioner of Forn Sed and Seidr, and I am pretty damn serious about it, more devoted to it than anything I've ever been in my life. Why? Because with no other path have I ever had Gods wake me up at 3 a.m. because they want a shot of Jack nor have I had anyone Else tell me I was Their's, that's why.

And I am well aware of all the thumbs downs I'll get but I could care less.

Anglican (C of E) and I wouldn't go so far to say I'm 'devout' but let's just say I'd never say anything against the Church or someone might subject me to a proper kicking for it! So basically (we're all strangers here, right?) I believe that I'd better continue to be Anglican OR ELSE.
