Bottom Contributor (how appropriate)-- you are either snuffing from dead taste buds or have NO idea about MD seafood. If anyone from out of town complains about it-- they say it's too STRONG. Never heard of OLD BAY?

I'm with you! I always steam crabs, lobster and shrimp unless the dish calls for a nice sauteed shrimp. Boiling definetly washes out much flavor. I always saute soft shelled crab in butter and white wine with some garlic, deep frying them is OK but I prefer a saute. MD seafood rules!!! P.S. I'm from NY and currently reside in Puerto Rico. I have family in MD and they send me "CARE" packages of Old Bay and sometimes Fedex me some frozen crab cakes.

Ease of preparation - then again there are all those folks who deep fry when they could be grilling.
