Hi Bert, We must understand that the Bible was not written as a scientific book but even so it speaks strongly in favour of a Creator in many places such as Genesis 1 & 2. Also in the New Testament John 1 is specific in stating that Jesus was the Creator.
The problem with evolution is that it is a theory not a fact. When Darwin wrote "Origin of the Species" he states that it was his theory and that if at any time his theory could be disproved it would prove to be wrong.
The example of blood clotting could not have developed in an evolutionary sense because it is an irreducible complex system. Commonsense tells us that if it developed over the millions of years evolutionist claim the first animal to cut itself would have bled to death and ended the species!
The Bible makes a simple statement that God spoke and it was. We have to accept that by faith because we can't prove or disprove it.
It is by grace through faith that we are saved [Ephesians 2:8-10]. If we reject the idea that God spoke things into existence we must also reject the idea that we are saved by grace which then leaves the Christian in no-mans-land with regards to salvation.
There is an interesting exchange in Job 38 & 39 between God and Job that you might care to read.
I hope that this has been of some help to you.
God Bless.
H'chat.

The bible can be interpreted different ways. While I believe that God created everything as told in the bible, it doesn't give specifics about how it all worked ya know? I mean at this point, we don't know how faith and science work together since we have not advanced at that point. I would say, don't dwell on evolution or proving or disproving, I would say study what you can and try to put your faith in the Lord and the bible and that the word is true, and that one day the real answers will come. If you read or find something, try to pray with real intent after study of the scripture and ask our Heavenly Father to guide you in your quest for knowledge. I would advise one thing though, ask with sincerety in prayer, and make sure you're willing to hear it out and try to understand. This is faith my son.

The two explanations of how life and the universe began are mutually exclusive---either one is right or the other but not both. In Genesis, we read how God "created" the whole universe and earth and everything in them in six literal, solar days---evolution requires millions of years for life to begin and evolve into higher and higher life forms and ultimately man....Genesis states that God "created" man from the dust of the ground "in his own image" on the sixth day---does NOT say that he allowed animals to evolve over millions of years of time until man emerged from a common ancestor with apes....How would we be "in God's image" if that were true...man is not an animal but superior to them. In Genesis, the Bible also states that when God was finished, he looked upon what he had created and it was "all good"--how could it be "all good" if there had been millions of years of pain, suffering and death from evolution? Death is a product of sin. According to the Bible, it states that sin and death did NOT enter the world until Adam sinned and ate of the forbidden fruit--so there could not have been millions of years of death and evolution before Adam.
Evolution is simply a religion of "naturalism" which means to show that the earth and all living creatures as well as the entire universe could have started by themselves with no external or "supernatural" intervention thus dispensing with a need for a God and his rules....it's becoming clearer that the theory is a total failure...life cannot start by itself here or anywhere else in the universe so a creator is necessary. Life starting by itself and the macro-evolution of Darwin's theory from one species to another higher species has never been observed or proven---only accepted as a theory or explanation from one viewpoint and is not science but wishful thinking and speculation of a faulty religion disguised as science.

Asking this question is like asking what the Bible says about downloading porn on your computer. The Theory of Evolution had not been theorized when the Bible was authored, thus, there is no mention of it. There is the creation story, which would then contradict said theory though.

Yeah, I agree with the first person.
Genisis--you should read it. It basically says GOD created the Universe, and evolution says BANG it just happend.
So I would say thats pretty strong evidence that the Bible goes against evolution considering they are two COMPLETELY different views.
The Bible being right. lol

There is nothing about evolution in the Bible. That does not mean God did not make evolution. The Bible talks about Adam and Eve which is supposed to symbolize creation it doesn't just mean its true. the bible doesn't deject nor does it talk about evolution. However, we can not put limits on God.

The bible is clear that God created everything in six days. Jesus also spoke of the creation week as a literal event and Adam and Eve as literal people “Haven’t you read,” he replied, “that at the beginning the Creator ‘made them [Adam and Eve] male and female,’ and said, ‘For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh’?” ~ Matthew 19:4-5 Jesus also spoke of Noah and the flood “As it was in the days of Noah, so it will be at the coming of the Son of Man. For in the days before the flood, people were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, up to the day Noah entered the ark; and they knew nothing about what would happen until the flood came and took them all away. That is how it will be at the coming of the Son of Man.” ~ Matthew 24:37-39

Two thousand years ago "evolution" wasn't even thought about. It took Darwin, stealing his father's thoughts and writings, to dream up the Origin of the Species over billions of years theory.
