In the Torah, the term "sons of God" or "Children of God" refers to those who have a special relationship with the Almighty (see Exodus 4:22 and Deuteronomy 14:1). This passage refers to the common pattern in the Torah of godly men falling in with ungodly women. Their children were the men whose life stories were embellished upon and became the men of renown, the Nephilim, or "Giants".
One explanation is that the much shorter ancient Semite people (the children of God) came into contact with the much larger Northern Eurasians (the children of man) and intermingled. The most likely site of Noah/Utnapishtim's flood would have been the valley that is now the Black Sea, a very likely meeting ground for such trading, if such trading and intermingling did occur. It's just a theory, but it's an entertaining one.

Some theologian believes, these are the rebellious angels that was thrown out of heaven, and trying to populate the earth with their kind, (rebellious against the Holy will of God).
Gen 6:1 And it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born unto them,
Gen 6:2 That the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose.
Gen 6:3 And the LORD said, My spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh: yet his days shall be a hundred and twenty years.
Gen 6:4 There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bore children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown.
Gen 6:5 And GOD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.
Gen 6:6 And it repented the LORD that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart.
But some Theologians, believes it is just symbolic or title to those who are worshiping God! Like Enoch, Gen 5:22 And Enoch walked with God after he begot Methuselah three hundred years, and begot sons and daughters:
Gen 5:23 And all the days of Enoch were three hundred sixty and five years:
Gen 5:24 And Enoch walked with God: and he was not; for God took him.
The first man that did not experience death, verse 5:24.
So, these particular Scriptures is quite hard to understand and discerned. So, we have to pray more to understand what God really means on some of His Holy Words.
Although, we really do not need to focus on those things, instead to focus on the things we need to truly be faithful to God and Lord Jesus. Amen.
For what profit us if we know all what God and Lord Jesus is telling us yet, we do not believe in Him, do not have faith in Him, do not serve Him, do not worship Him in spirit, in truth and in love?

Wow, I read about that today! Its in Genesis 6 isn't it? Because the daughters of Adam and Eve were very good-looking (obviously, seeing as they were made my two people in Gods perfect image!) and the angels took a fancy to them, and you may have read how the angels can walk and talk just like man, they used to come down and talk to people and people didn't know they were angels. Or they could be invisible, or they could be clouds or fire! I expect the woman who did have intercourse with the angels were a bit 'floozy' because they can't have been married, and the children they bore were strong and powerful people, it says that they were actually giants and the sort of, super-heroes of their time!

The Fallen Angels from the second heaven, not God's angels from the third heaven. Satan knows that his time is short because the Jewish people have returned to Israel.

The soul's of the sons of God include every living being. Many do not know it. Those whom do not know it are far from God, and those who do know it are close to God.
The word Son refers to one whom respects the Father. The daughters of man are those girls whom are born to those whom do not respect the Father. Naturally, the Sons and daughters of God have compassion for the sons and daughters of man whom are ignorant of their own selves.

Genesis 6?
My Pastor preached that satan knew that God promised a redeemer who would overcome the serpent deception & death curse Genesis3:15. Satan tried to mess up Gods plan by tempting 1/3 of Gods angels to rebell & leave their place of origin & screw around with women & having offspring like supermen. This was to prevent Jesus Christ, the Only begotten Son of God to come to earth & redeem us from the curse of sin & death. It is also believed that the offspring are the demons that are floating around the earth today. They died in the flood.
The devil did mess things up sooo bad that all creation was corrupted, so God flooded the earth. God repented He created mankind.

They aren't coming down. They've already been here and done that. Many speculate that's how giants came to be (of Goliath fame). As to the reason WHY... that question still remains unanswered. We can speculate all we want, but we'll never know.
