I would think that when it gets to the point that the only trees are in museums, we would have been long dead... Up to 70% of our oxygen is created in the oceans (algae), but we are busily poisoning that too...

No man will be history long before trees and plant life are gone. Besides cockroach's and Keith Richards will be the last animals alive and Keith will be too busy smoking the roach's to go to a museum anyway.
