I believe God does give everyone a special purpose. Are they the same or equal? No, just different from each other.

I think everyone does have a special purpose. Regardless of your religion. I think I would have made a lousy Mother Teresa, and she probably wouldn't have effected as many people if she had stayed at home raising 3 kids.
Everyone has to leave their own mark on this world. Whatever it may be.

Everybody has free will to decide their own path. The body one incarnates into may have certain attributes though. The soul is not affected by physical attributes like the brain or the athletic potential. This is because like all computer programs, the material world does not affect the user (the soul), only the body/mind.

We all have special gifts for one purpose, to please God. It is the human ego that asks, "is mine better?" Each gift shines (reflects) the same amount of light, and pride and ego are not there.

No special purpose.
Just bullshit those in control use to convince your life has a unique meaning.
In reality there is nothing special about your life.
You can only do what you want.

There is only one purpose in life and that is to merit the afterlife.
The means however is unique to each individual.
