Effexor is quite a strong antidepressant. Some people have reported permanent changes after withdrawing from it. You'll just have to give it time.

I suffered from terrible memory loss for months after I stopped taking Cipralex - I feel better now though. I also couldn't think properly and even lost my ability to touch type on the keyboard!

I take Omega 3 Fish Oils and Ginkyo Biloba to help my brain function.

Umm...no. Why would you feel that? I was on it in the mid-90's and got off of it the wrong way...cold turkey. I was dizzy and nauseated for 3 days, but got over it. I went back on it a few years ago (tried others, they didn't work) and now decided to go off again. I was warned by the doc not to go off of it by myself. But being that I have a brain (maybe I dont' because I'm lazy enough not to want to go in an see him - a girl's got to work), I'm going to ween myself off by extending the time between pills.

But no, no brain damage here.
