Not that they wouldn't be thankful to get it. But should we also donate new or good clothing? Like new jackets and gloves?

I would donate both new and used clothes. I also donate old computers and electronics. They can either keep and give access for the poor and homeless or sell and get food and clothing for them.

I donate old, worn clothing I don't wear anymore because I don't have the money to donate new clothes to charity. If I did have the money, I would donate more and better stuff.

Clothing is the one item that is most often donated Many thrift stores who resell the items are often overwhelmed with clothing donations. Goodwill stores often throw these clothing items(some in excellent condition) into the dumpster. I no longer make donations to Goodwill because of this. Consider one of your local churches to make your donations. Our church carries food, clothing, school supplies and the word of God to Mexico 4 times a year. Churches also make donations to people caught in natural disasters throughout the world. God bless.

I never give old or worn clothes to them. I choose the ones that I don't wear at all but almost new. If you give from those, that means a lot, they are humans too, you know. Everyone gives the old, worn and torn stuff. The point is to be able to sacrifice the newly ones.

none that are worn. maybe a little out of style but never worn. i also keep my eyes on the clearnace racks for clothing that is larger in size - organizations often have a hard time getting things in xl or higher. shoes too are a great thing no matter what size!

I NEVER donate anything old or worn. All the stuff I give is "almost new" but seldom used.

when my clothes are worn out, they are worn out. if i find good, used, or unused clothing i donate it. i can't afford to buy stuff to give away. we have a small network od friends who collect and drop off clothing and stuff at my sister's place. i help her deliver it.

Actually, I have a bad habit of impulsive shopping. I buy things I actually never wear. So, some of the things I give have never been worn.

My clothes aren't old and worn, they are thin and fat clothes. When I give them away they are like new. I know what you are saying that we shouldn't just be giving clothes that should be thrown away.
