The uncertainty gets to me. Is it on time? Or is it 30 minutes late ?

It's soul destroying because it's something that you cannot control - the same when your train stops for 10 minutes 1/2 mile from the station. Similar to car drivers - blood pressure is low if there's a flood, accident etc ahead, but it's soul destroying when the phantom holdups occur on the motorway.

Just chill out. It's a lot better to wait for a bus than to sit in traffic on the freeway. Take a book or ipod or something.

If there's more than 30 minutes between buses (even if they're different routes that still get to the same place), public transport is shitty enough to justify getting a car, IMO.

NO - if the driver is rubbish (especially on my route) then the actual journey is soul destroying.

Get a mode of transportation. Waiting for someone else is never a good thing.
