In my opinion, no. The Catholic church mixes Paganism with Christianity so it is no longer truly Christian. The Bible isn't enough for them so they've written their own books, which they consider to be equally infallible. The Catholics believe the Pope is God in the flesh, perfect, sinless, even though the Bible is clear that no one is without sin except for God. It's idolatry. Chrsitians follow Jesus. The Catholics follow themselves and their Pope.

Believe it or not Christians, now I am talking mainline Protestants, believe in the same Nicene Creed and recite it just like Catholics do at Mass. The Lutherans even have some of their churches named after saints, some Anglican churches do too. There are more similarities than differences, a few doctrinal differences true but they do believe in the community of saints and that we are all connected with one another. Evangelicals are more like Puritans, Calvinists, with minimal beliefs and practices but anyone who believes Jesus Christ is the son of the Living God is a Christian that is what it means and that includes Catholics.

Evodius was the first Bishop of Antioch, and he is credited with being the first person to call the followers of Christ, "Christians", as shown in Acts 11:26. See Eusebius, book 3, chapter 22.
HE WAS A CATHOLIC BISHOP. So it stands to reason if your not Catholic your not a Christian He wasn't speaking of Protestants who are considered heritics. And would have been at that time as well.

I do not know how a person with any kind of sense say that we Catholics are not Christians.
It is so funny to read as don't we all pray to God and ask for help from the same Jesus? Someone needs set some people straight. Are you not a Christian because you aren't Catholic? We are no different than anyone else and no we do not worship Mary or any kind of idols. Get it right, we are Christians and gosh we do have your God as your God.

"What separates us as believers in Christ is much less than what unites us." (Pope John XXIII)
Almost all important doctrine is completely agreed upon between Catholic Christians and other Christians.
Here is the joint declaration of justification by Catholics (1999), Lutherans (1999), and Methodists (2006):
By grace alone, in faith in Christ's saving work and not because of any merit on our part, we are accepted by God and receive the Holy Spirit, who renews our hearts while equipping us and calling us to good works.

There are many minor doctrine issues and some major cultural traditional differences which, I believe, do not matter that much.
A Catholic worships and follows Christ in the tradition of Catholicism which, among other things, recognizes that Christ made Peter the leader of His new Church and Pope Benedict XVI is Peter's direct successor.

With love in Christ.

Catholics say they are the original Christians,
Orthodoxy's say they are the original Christians,
Protestants say they are the real Christians,
Each say that they will get in heaven kingdom alone, and others will go to hell.

The Catholic Church is the Mother Church, and all other Christian denominations are Her offspring.
The Catholic Church is the Mystical Body of Christ, the One True Vine, and all other Christian denominations are the branches.

Catholicism is a subset of Christianity. All Catholics are Christian, not all Christians are Catholic. Other Christian denominations are Methodists, Baptists, Lutherans and more.
Think of it this way. A poodle is a type of dog. All poodles are dogs, not all dogs are poodles.

Catholics are definitely Christians and also created the bible that born again Christians say we don't use. The Catholic Bible is also bigger than the Protestant bible. This is true because books that did not support Martin Luther's philosophies were removed.
