I can't begin to answer for God, but I believe that a baby does not have a soul until the egg and the sperm meet at conception. So, if something keeps the two from joining, it is not taking a life. But, after the point of conception, it is a human life.

God didn't create birth control. He created a system of fertility in which man and woman must come together to create a new human being that is equal shares of both parents. And He created this system to only work for a short period of time each month, roughly 1-3 days. Furthermore, He cleverly created physical signs of ovulation that help women know when they are about to ovulate with excellent accuracy -- not the old calendar method, but scientifically proven physical signs of ovulation that are easily tracked, even without any form of technology.
So, artificial birth control, which is a system of INfertility, is completely unnecessary. If a couple wishes to come together and become pregnant, they simply time their sexual relations to fall during the time period of ovulation. If they are in a position that requires delaying pregnancy, at least for the month, then they simply avoid sexual relations during that 1-3 day window of ovulation, maybe even adding a day or two on either side to be sure if they are in a really grave situation.
It's not only effective and healthy, God's system fosters respect and conversation between the husband and wife. Furthermore, by tracking her own fertility, a woman can detect serious medical problems, including PID, PCOS and cervical cancer at their earliest stages, when treatment is most effective. Hormonal birth control will MASK symptoms, not detect them. So that's another good reason to avoid it.

I always refer to the Bible to see what God wants (instead of guessing) and from what I've read God was the one determining who got pregnant or not. He opened and closed womens wombs as HE willed it. Perfect example....He didnt Give Sarah a child till she was 90 years old .
If you view birthcontrol as essentially...going around God to get what you want(or dont want), then use Abraham and Sarah again. In the years before she had the baby, she grew impatient and told Abraham to impregnate her handmaiden Hagar (ancient surrogate parenting or invitro..) and the result was...Ishmael...the descendants of whom are the modern day Palestinian/Iranian people who want to see the descendants of Sarah's son BY Abraham (Isaac) wiped off the planet.
Bottom line...going around God..either to have or not to have..didnt seem like a good idea. He allowed it..but that doesnt mean He wanted it that way.

Gods thoughts are not our thoughts, and his ways are not our ways.(Isaiah 55:8). We can say what we may each think the bible says concerning birth control, but not what God thinks. The bible isn't a book about God's thoughts, it is a book written for man, by men inspired by God. It is a book that should we choose to obey, will be our guide in this life, and our key to the next.

God would not have created such a wonderful device if he were against it. God knows we don't need more people on this planet and some people should NOT be parents.

"Every sperm is sacred.
Every sperm is great.
If a sperm is wasted,
