If by the world you mean the planet Earth, the most common consensus was that the forces of gravity caused the first stars and their planets to condense where they were from the gasous matter left lying around after the Big Bang. The Sun and its own planets are fairly new by comparison, and would have formed from the gaseous remains of a bigger, older star that reached the end of its life and exploded.

Since the other stars, like the Sun, are surrounded by clouds of matter like the Oort cloud of comets, and their planets (where they have any observable ones) orbit much further in, like those in the Solar system, it would suggest that this is the usual way things happen. The heavier elements, such as the ones that make up the planets, are less movable than the hydrogen that forms the Sun and the stars and therefore less likely to condense to a single mass like they did.

I am not good with links, but you can find discussions of this in astronomy magazines (NOT astrology) of which your newsagent is sure to have a few. I say 'discussions' because there is not always agreement and scientists have not yet reached a common consensus!

When you get a chance, take the time to look up Jupiter (a failed sun with several satellites orbiting it). When you understand what happened to Jupiter and where it's moons came from, you'll understand how this world was formed.

Edit: Notice I said formed, not created. Your theistic roots are showing.

Well I'm Agnostic. Wasn't the Big Bang Theory PROVED not too long ago??!! I feel like we may never know exactly how the world was created, but we keep discovering piece by piece...

How could we possibly know that?

Drink!

My theory is a largish chunk of magnetic material was in orbit around the sun attracting other matter. After a while It got big enough to have its own gravity. The moon was floating around aimlessly and got sucked into it's gravity. Single cell microbes also got sucked into it's gravity and water molecules. Then Wha Lah billions of years later you have Yahoo! answers.

Life and existence are a mystery. No Science or religion are even close to understanding true meaning. The best was to understand existence is expanding the mind and seeing beyond the 'self' thru psychedelics. DMT is best substance to do so, it is produced in the brain during REM sleep (dreaming) and in massive amounts before death (which is often seen as Near Death Experiences). I took it once and it lead to my spiriual awakening.

if you're an atheist, i'm joe stalin.

i suppose you could be just incredibly lazy with your phrasing and your spelling - the world was most likely formed (not created) from a cloud of interstellar gas and dust. i have assumed that you're talking about the earth.

I think it originally was a conditions and terms of service agreement for some software of some kind. Someone printed it out, and due to its extreme length it collapsed under its own gravity and formed a sphere. From there on out, everyone just clicked "I agree".

Well, let's see. First the Earth cooled; and then the dinosaurs came. But they got too big and fat and they all died and turned into oil. And then the Arabs came and they bought Mercedes-Benzes. And then Prince Charles went into Lady Di's closet. He put on her best summer dress and went to town.

That's all the answer you need.

Big Bang. Galaxy formed. Solar system formed. Debris clashed together. So much mass that the gravity it had made it a sphere (although not perfect.)

BAM! There's the earth :)

You think you are being clever, but you are just a not very bright, ignorant troll.

If you truly wanted an answer, you would of posted this in the science section, not here.
