I bet your scalp is clean. Dandruff is caused by the excessive shedding of skin cells. This happens normally but dandruff is caused when this is at an accelerated rate. So cleanliness doesn't really have anything to do with it. You ARE clean so don't worry about that. Try a special shampoo and see if that helps at all; it may take up to 2 weeks for it to work though so you might have to do some trial and error.

Good luck.

Dandruff isn't something you can get rid of by better washing methods. There is nothing we learn in beauty school that isn't that much different than what you do to yourself when you wash your own hair. Are you using a medicated danduff shampoo? If you aren't first try that or a good home remedy and one of the most least expensive treatments is a simple application of distilled vinegar (white vinegar) to the affected area. If regular shampooing with an anti-fungal product like head and shoulders isn't helping reduce recurrence you should seek help from a dermalotologist who can find out what is causing the irritiation. Good luck.

Get a special dandruff shampoo, like Head and Shoulders. Over washing might dry out your scalp and make it worse, if the dandruff shampoo doesn't work you should go see the dermatologist.

hmmm
if you have dandruff, Proactiv makes Dandruff shampoo & conditioner, and that is a great brand. first off, shampoo your hair and massage it in your scalp and all over. rinse & repeat. Then deep condition at the ends and regular condition the rest of the way.
