It is my understanding that some tech schools used to - and some in other locations probably still do allow student loans. But in my location - the local tech school had too many people default on their loans. (Didn't pay them back) So the Department of Education pulled that schools ability to do federal loans.

It just depends on the school, some do some dont. Prior high default rates are the reason many dont.
