Well, I have:

Kara the rottweiler,
Pinpoint the doberman,
Aragorn the tekir cat,
Shrek and Fiona the water turtles,
and two nameless goldfish.

If you knew me better, you'd see that the actual question should be, "Why do you not have more?" And the answer would be "bird-flu".

Two dogs (Noel who suffers of narcisisme and Foulques) both of no special breed at home, found in the street when they were stray puppies, and a pitbull at the Office, the world-wide known Pit, who pretends to be a member of the stuff (actually he is a bodyguard).
In addition a water turtle, Fanouris, and anarmy of stray dogs and cats, birds too, to look after....
My city of origin is Assisi, so there has to be a connection with all this....

I have a Van cat, she's the best. Her name is Lula-Mae Barns, after the lead character in Breakfast at Tiffany's (LuLu for short) got her because I couldn't say no to her, she was irresistible.
She's in the US with me now. I had A LOT of trouble getting her out of Turkey about two years ago. I am so grateful to everyone who helped me and I still can't believe I was successful.

I have three dachshunds - Brook 16, Brandy and Misha12.
I used to have a cat - Lovejoy-for 19 years but sadly she passed away last January...

I also have two stray dogs that I support the expenses in a shelter.

While I was in Ankara-Turkey, I had a flock of pigeons and a flock of crows that I fed every morning in my spare balcony- the neighbors hated me for that :D

I never thought why I had a pet since as long as I remember, there were stay cats , rabbits, chicks, always in the house..

I love them and I wish I could have all the homeless animals in my house at cold winter nights but it is impossible :( but I always put food and water for the birds in hot summer days in Kuwait where I am currently living most of the year.

EDIT: Hello, Areti :)

I have a kitty, an Egyptian Mau, and I wasn't looking for him when I got him. I randomly went to a pet store (eek, bad, I know..) but when I saw him in the cage, and opened it, he leapt right onto my shoulders and cuddled into my neck. I knew he was my kitty, so I took him home and now he's 3 :)

I have two cats that are both equally weird and yet precious. I bought them because I always wanted a cat when I was younger. Even though I have allergies now and try not to pet them too much, I still kept them.
<--------That's my cat. She's so adorable! :)))

Add to Morticia.
And this fish can live 2 mounts, without food and fresh water. I think our pet will be a new mutant :)
