It is not a pagan's hoilday. It is Jesus' birth. I do not know where you got that from. I pray that people do not give you wrong information.

I don't celebrate his birthday. I use Christmas as an opportunity to exchange gifts with my family and friends and eat ridiculous amounts of food. Christianity only put the celebration of Christ's birth around this time anyway to cover up for the Pagan celebration of the Winter Solstice.
And hey, why don't you get in touch with my school and tell them to open for me on Christmas Day, and see how well it goes down?

Everyone can celebrate the day. The only thing christian about Christmas is the name. Everything else was stolen from previous celebrations on Dec 25th (start of winter, parties, gifts, trees, birthday of a crucified savior (Mithra), etc) so "christmas" is truly a pagan holiday with the name changed by those plagiarizing the day.
I prefer to spell it Krismas because the it truly represents family and the spirit of giving.

Christmas (Dec 25th) is actually based on a pagan holiday. Also, do you have a Christmas tree? That is also a pagan symbol. It has NOTHING to do with Christ. If you don't believe in the pagan gods why have a Christmas tree? It means nothing to you.
Funny how you apparently don't even know the origins of your own holiday, which YOU based on another religious belief.
Please do some research into your own customs before posting hypocritical questions like this.

Absolutely. Having grown up in suburban America, Christmas has always meant something to me that has nothing to do with religion. Family, good feelings, gift giving - all good things. So it does mean something to me.
By the way, celebration of Christmas is a fairly recent event, really only taking something close to it's present form in the 19th century. At the beginning of our country, most people did not celebrate Christmas at all. It was banned in certain parts of the country, including Massachusetts.
Also, on Christmas Day following the Declaration of Independence, Congress met in regular session - because Christmas wasn't such a big deal to them.
One more thing, Christmas is derived from early, pre-Christian winter equinox festivals, and featured lots of drinking, dancing and partying, not churchgoing.
You could look all this up, but have my doubts that you will. Religion does not thrive on questions and reason - it thrives on giving answers, not to be questioned.

And that day doesn't mean anything to most people. If you are celebrating Christ's birthday then why do you have a tree with lights on it and give presents away? Christmas is mostly a commercial Western holiday that has very little to do with religion.

What, am I exempt from watching "A Christmas Story"? Because I love that movie.
Personally, I don't celebrate Christmas like I used to. I still exchange presents and spend time with my younger relatives, but I'm more about doing community service on the holidays. Do you? I'd like to think not.

LOL.. read up on the history of Christmas :) http://www.history.com/minisites/christmas/viewPage?pageId=1252
"Centuries before the arrival of the man called Jesus, early Europeans celebrated light and birth in the darkest days of winter."
Yes, I celebrate with a tree and lights and presents and family and friends, and hot-buttered rum. It has zip to do with religion.

I don't celebrate Christmas. I don't go to school or work because nobody else does. It would be pretty empty if I was the only one working that day.

Christmas is the name of a great holiday. It's got nothing to do with Jesus, though, and I think that's GREAT! It's about feeling connected to other people and being happy and loving and doing lots of fun things and eating special food all as a special nice time.
