Um, I served my 20 years of active military duty and retired. I also don't support this war.

If you support it, feel free to enlist.

Hmm, lets see, ask a question then answer it ourselves and make some inane comments to boot. Great logic.

People are NOT dying to protect me or you - they are dying because of a corrupt political leader finds it useful and personally profitable to conduct a war in Iraq.

If you think Bush could care less about other races and cultures, take a look at Guantanamo and see how many folks there have been given a fair trial before their indeterminate abuse begins.

In fact you are MORE of an American (or Englishman) if you have the moral courage to stand up and say "No, this is wrong", rather than just bleat with all the other sheep and "do what the man in charge tells you".

Even the soliders fighting say off the record that is is largly a complete waste of time and effort - admittedly though they do not all fully appreciate the depth of the hidden personal agenda by Bush.

Why do you ask a question if you are going to answer it? I guess this forum has become Yahoo Statements. It Makes no sense, but here is a rebuttal:

In the United States of America, citizens have the right to a freedom of speech (yes people have died for that right) just not in these 'wars'. These wars are about conquest of the global economy, military spending and energy (oil) domination.

Contrary to the position of our esteemed leader, citizens have not only the right but an obligation to voice their discontent with policy(ies) they do not agree with. We do this through media and through the ballot box.

Obviously you have fallen for the tired 'right wing neocon' rhetoric of, "if you are not with us, you are against us....blah, blah, blah...."

I find it ironic you want to knock some since into us 'gay' people who choose to make America look bad by voicing opinions that go against your own--even as you so proudly point out that people are dieing to protect that exact civil liberty and basic constitutionally guaranteed right----the freedom of speech.

Maybe, but supporting the unecessary killing of people make you less of a human. Which is more important?

Honestly, what is the importance of Iraq? It's like Vietnam; in the grand scale, it doesn't mean much. And we were never threatened by Iraq in the first place; if there was a serious threat by them, then the Israelis would have been the ones to try and take care of it. They bombed Osrisk in 1982 to stop Iraq's nuclear research, and they'd do it again.

I share your'e opinion and remember that's all it is an opinion !
But calling someone Gay for Their Opinion is ,well remember "FREEDOM OF SPEECH"!!! "FREEDOM OF PRESS"!!! . In some other parts of the world voicing ur opinion could cost u ur tong or life !! So let them exercise that right and keep in mind that some Americans will pay for our freedom and most wont !! Freedom isn't free it is paid for in blood and it costs America our Sons ,Daughters, Husbands, Wives, Mothers ,Fathers, Brothers , Sisters...U get the point.
I pray that this war won't cost me my Wife but if that is what it takes to keep the rest of America safe from cowards and pansies then so be it ! "Follow Me!"
Upon further inspection of ur Ignorant comments let me add that our troops are shedding blood and families are loosing their members so u can be ignorant and if u insult Bill again I wont be your only problem!! HOOOAAAHHH!!! "Follow Me!"
You read the Bible ...Mathew 5 : 13, Mathew 5 : 39-44 check mate!

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. I am a Military member and I don't support the war. Does this make me less an American than you? Do you serve in the Military? I have devoted over 6 years of my life now to our country, but just because I don't approve of the decision our country makes doesn't make me un-American. Our country is based on Freedoms, and I have the Freedom to choose to not agree. Bush isn't going to kick me out of my job because of that. It's the same at work, I don't have to agree with what my Leader tells me to do, I just have to suck it up and do it. You don't have to necessarily respect the man, you have to respect the man's rank. You would know this if you were in the Military. End of story.

I have to ask what you mean by "support". If you mean "support" like we support our families, then yes, we're all spending money on it.

If you mean "support" as in provide moral support, then Whoohoo! The world's finest military kicked a third world country's tail, killed 100,000 civilians, and ruined our credibility with the rest of the world! Way to go, Bush! Who cares if we can't find a peaceful solution, keep sending our people over to die as long as we're killing more of them than us! They're doing a great job of applying a military solution to a political problem. Keep up the good work!

Yes, yes, I know you probably think that disagreeing with you puts me in the category of those who should be stomped, killed, and have sense knocked into. I believe that this very mentality is what caused us to poinlessly kill thousands of Iraqis in the first place so no nobody should be surprised by that.

I dont think you'd be less of an American. One of the greatest thing about this country is freedom and your choice to decide what you think is right and wrong. You can be anti the war in Iraq but still support the military. Anti American would those who blame individual soldiers because of the war when ultimately they are just doing what the country is asking them to. Soldiers dont get to pick there fights thank god for them, and the freedom they fight for which lets us voice our opinions.

Actually a person is more of an American if they see their Government out of control and attacking a country for no other reason than to control their oil supplies and they speak up and stand against a government that is out of control!
