First of all, has your puppy been checked over by a vet? If not, you should have her looked over to ensure she is in good health. Your puppy is still very young and requires lots of attention. Are you away during the day? Perhaps if you leave a warm soft blanket out for your puppy, and a small ticking clock, she just might settle down. Most of all, cuddle her and talk to her in a gentle voice. She still has to get used to you and her new surroundings. I'm sure, if you give her lots of love and attention, she will soon settle down and reward you ten fold with her love.

My golden lab did the same thing! The vet told me she was taken from her mom too early and had anxiety issues. Well I guess it was as good of an excuse as any. My dog was also really spastic, jumping up, like starved for attention, even though I was with her over 12 hours a day! In the end I wound up getting a dog-toy stuffed animal that had a white nose like hers...this was at least a foot tall stuffed animal. Anyway, it turned out she wanted to, well sort of, suck her thumb in a way. She takes the big stuffed animal and sucks on his nose, and actually does it until she falls asleep. I know, I know, sounds totally weird, but what can I say, it worked! My dog is now 6, and she still does it when she is stressed.

Sounds like they were abused in some way. I'm sorry. It will only take time. I found this really helpful toy that i would give me baby chihuahua when she kept crying but it's big enough for 8week old puppies too. You can get it at Pet's Mart and it's shaped like a red dog but on the inside it has pellets in a pouch that you can heat up in the microwave. It gives a sort of comfort to the puppy because they're so scared. Don't move to quickly around them or shout. Remember they're still getting to know you.

I just got a 8 week old lab puppy and we got her a crate-put in a bed, blanket and some stuffed animals. We also bought her a puppy that has a heart beat in it ( I recommend buying one) and she has not given us any problems. Also try leaving the tv or radio on..We have little ones at home, so our puppy is used to hearing the Disney channel-sometimes we leave it on for her when we are gone, and that also seems to help.... Good Luck!
